The Soul USB modem works on both the 3G/HSDPA network and the GSM network. This means that you can use your Internet connection across Australia. Based on network testing customers within the 3G/HSDPA coverage areas will experience speeds between 512 Kbps & 1.5 Mbps (maximum download speed is 3 Mbps). Actual speeds will vary & may be slower. When you are in GSM coverage areas you will experience slower speeds similar to dial-up internet about 20 to 40 Kbps.

Soul Wireless Internet is powered by the Optus 3G Network. This is fast wireless internet without wires, wall socket or home phone.
Wireless Internet from Soul gives you 3G/HSDPA coverage in metro areas of Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast. Wireless broadband on the 3g/hsdpa optus network is currently not available in NT or Tasmania.
Wireless Internet is also known as Mobile broadband, Wireless broadband, HSDPA, 3G Internet, Mobile Internet.
Broadband speeds are not available in GSM areas. In GSM areas customers can only expect to achieve a practical speed between 20 to 40 Kbps.
